Search Visibility & AI-Assisted Search

We measure what buyers see about you in AI Overviews, AI Mode, ChatGPT, and similar tools, and focus on the parts you can influence. We won't promise what no one controls.

The problem

Your buyers are asking AI assistants about your market, and you don't know what they're being told.

AI Overviews, AI Mode, and ChatGPT have joined the buying journey, and measurement hasn't caught up. Search Console's generative AI report shows impressions with no click or query data, and answers vary by person and moment.

That uncertainty has created a market for confident formulas. No one controls AI Overview citations. Google's 2026 guidance says plainly that llms.txt, special markup, and chopping content into small chunks aren't needed. The ground that works is familiar: crawlable pages, a clearly identified organization, original knowledge, and accurate third-party mentions.

You may recognize this

  • AI answers mention your competitors and leave you out.
  • You don't know which bots your robots.txt or CDN rules block.
  • You're getting GEO or AEO pitches and can't assess the claims.

How we work

  1. Repeatable prompt sampling

We run a fixed set of buyer questions across assistants at set intervals and log mentions, citations, accuracy, and competitors. Answers vary, so we read results as a directional sample.

  2. Bot access matrix

We review robots.txt, CDN, and WAF rules bot by bot. Training and search crawlers are separate: at OpenAI, blocking GPTBot doesn't affect OAI-SearchBot or ChatGPT search. Since not every bot runs JavaScript, we confirm key content arrives in server-delivered HTML.

  3. Entity clarity and original content

We make company facts consistent across your site and outside profiles, then identify pages that can carry your own data and field experience. We don't mass-produce pages for prompt variations, which Google can treat as scaled content abuse.

  4. Third-party presence

We find the trade publications assistants tend to cite and plan PR work to get you represented accurately. Manufactured mentions are off the table.

What we deliver

  • Buyer question set and baseline
  • Bot access matrix and robots.txt recommendations
  • Company fact sheet and Organization structured data
  • GA4 AI Assistant channel and referral tracking setup
  • Quarterly visibility report with limits stated

How we measure

  • Mention and citation frequency in sampled prompts, read as direction over time and never as exact share.
  • AI reports in Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools, which give no clicks but show which pages surface.
  • GA4's AI Assistant channel, which undercounts and excludes AI Overviews and AI Mode but still shows commercial quality.

Correcting outdated answers for a private hospital

Illustrative scenario: a private hospital notices assistants describing a closed department as still operating. Prompt sampling traces the error to old directory listings and a stale page. Facts get corrected, medical content goes through physician review, and answers are rechecked at set intervals.

Common questions

Can you guarantee we'll appear in AI Overviews?

No. Google asks that a page be indexed and eligible for a snippet, and even then it promises nothing. Treat any offer that claims otherwise with suspicion.

Do we need an llms.txt file?

Not for Google Search. Google says Search ignores such files, and llms.txt is not a ranking factor. Keeping one for another service does no harm, but we wouldn't spend budget on it.

Should we opt out of Google's AI features?

You can, through the Search generative AI control in Search Console, and Google says this doesn't affect regular ranking. You'd lose all impressions and traffic from those features, and AI training needs Google-Extended instead. It's a commercial decision.
